Dear friends, dear family, dear readers
If you know us a little better, you know we are always coming up with new ideas and plans. In our first blog post, I told you a bit more about our travel plans for the coming year. Well, who is surprised: we have adjusted them a bit. đŸ™‚
Until the end of June we will stay here in beautiful Sintra, Portugal. After that, we found a great Airbnb in Peniche, where we will stay until mid-July. Peniche is a good hour north of Sintra and is best known for its fishing and as a surfing hotspot. Our apartment is just a few minutes walk from the beach, so we hope to spend some time on the beach as often as possible.
From Peniche we will then continue north: to Porto. Currently, we have booked accommodation a bit outside for two weeks, but we are still looking at other options. We will be in Porto until at least the end of July or mid-August. After that, we will go back to Switzerland for a short stopover. Of course, we won’t miss one or two visits to the Badenfahrt!
At the end of August we will definitely fly on to Asia. More precisely to Bali. After many discussions René and I decided to book our next stop again with the same organization with which we already spend our time here in Sintra: Boundless Life. I will gladly tell you more about the still young company and its philosophy in a separate post.
So until the end of November we will enjoy the island life. As you probably already noticed, we tend to plan our route according to the summer or at least the warm temperatures.
During our time in Bali RenĂ© will fly back to Switzerland. An important trade show for our business will take place in October: the Olma in St.Gallen. Liam and I can continue to enjoy the sun during this time, but RenĂ© has some ‘family-free’ time for himself.
At the end of November, all three of us return to Switzerland: the Christmas markets, which are also important for us, start again. This time is very important for us from a business point of view and we want to be there accordingly.
After the Christmas days, however, we already say goodbye to warmer climes again: we fly to Cape Town, South Africa. The accommodation or even Liam’s care is not yet clarified, but we will certainly stay in South Africa until the middle/end of March. The still open questions will be clarified in the next months. In general, there are more details to be clarified the further in the future the travel section is. For us it is quite natural that certain questions only make sense to be clarified in the short term or plans can simply change. đŸ™‚
Our so far last planned travel section will then start in April next year. Again we will spend three months with Boundless: but this time on Syros in Greece.
We are already really looking forward to all the new experiences and are very grateful for the opportunity to spend this time abroad as a family.
So that would be the current status of our travel plans. If you have any tips about our planned destinations, please share them with us! We will of course continue to share our impressions and insider tips about the destinations we visit on our blog.
Have a wonderful day!
Rahel
